TOOLS NEEDED:
Pliers, Phillips Head & Flathead screwdrivers, wire strippers, wire crimpier, 10mm, 3/8”, and 7/16” wrenches, ISOPROPYL alcohol, clean rag, heat gun or blow dryer…DO NOT USE A LIGHTER!!

1) Access the battery from the side covers or under the seat. Now disconnect the (black - Negative) battery terminal first to avoid fire hazard.

2) The LED's are polarity sensitive. This means the Red wire on the LED must connect to the (positive + Red) terminal. Black wire must connect to the (negative - Black) terminal. The LED lights CANNOT be run in series. That means all (positive + Red) wires connect to a common positive power wire. All (ground / negative - Black) wires must connect to a common ground.

3) Locate a position for the switch. IMPORTANT you will need easy access to the switch after the seat and/or side covers are back on bike. Using the double-sided tape & Promoter Pad, secure the switch in place.

4) Locate a mounting position for the LED lights that offers the LARGEST overall lighting effects and coverage. If needed: use the enclosed wire and the shrink tubing provided to add additional wire to the LED Units that will allow all wire to meet at a centralized point of your choice.
IMPORTANT MAKE SURE ALL CONNECTIONS ARE FIRMLY TWISTED TOGETHER, AND ENOUGH WIRE IS LEFT TO ROUTE OUT OF SITE WHEN COMPLETED. The wires do not need to be soldered unless you want to. The 3M shrink-wrap provided contains special glue that melts and bonds the wires together for a watertight seal.

5) We recommend cleaning both the LED unit, and the mounting area with Isopropyl alcohol first. Use the enclosed 3M Promoter Pack. Now cut to fit the doubled-sided tape for the LED unit. Remove the tape backing and firmly press down on to the prepped area.
*NOTE: MAKE SURE LED PODS ARE POINTING IN DESIRED DIRECTION BEFORE YOU PRESS INTO PLACE.

6) Run all the leds wires to a central point, usually under the seat. Make sure that you leave enough length of wire to route them out of site. MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GET TOO HOT OR GET CAUGHT IN A MOVING PART! You will also want to leave a little extra for striping the black outer sheathing off. Strip off about 2” of the outer black sheathing. Now strip off about 1” of the red & black 22-gauge sheathing. Do this to all of the wires remaining. You will need to twist all of the red wires together, and also twist all of the black wires together.

7) Now take either one of the two wires coming out of the switch and slip the largest piece of heat shrink over the wire. Connect that wire to the red wires that you twisted together.

9) Connect the remaining wire from switch to one end of the fuse holder provided in your kit. Now twist together, shrink wrap, and connect the other end of the fuse holder wire to the battery positive + Red terminal. Using one of the spade connectors from the kit crimp connection onto the lead.

10) Next connect the black wire from the LED units to the battery (negative-Black) post using the remaining spade connector from your kit. Reconnect the bikes Negative - Black battery cable at this time.

11) PUSH THE SWITCH AND ENJOY THE SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

12) All Led units are tested before being boxed & shipped. If you should have a unit that is not lighting, it is ALMOST always due to faulty connection, or by having the polarity backwards. Re-check all work to and from the unit. Do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions.

REMOTE CONTROL If you are using a remote unit to turn on your lights, use the following instructions. There are four wires coming out of the Remote unit; Red, White, Blue, and Black. The RED goes to the fuse / + battery, the WHITE goes to the (+) side of the LEDS, the black goes to the (- negative) of the LEDS and to the (-) of the Battery. DO NOT cut the blue antenna wire.

Typical Installation:  6 to 9 LED Lights ( 1 - 2 Courtsey Pods and 5 - 7 Step Pods )

Led Light Pod Suggested Locations:
Four under the tank: 1 near each cylinder head and 1-2 on back of air cleaner facing cylinder and 1-2 on back of horn facing cylinder and 1 on frame facing back cylinder.
